Heating water increases the mineral content in the tank. Its simply that as the water boils off from heating, the mineral content remains the same. Since water is
boiling off, more water is added to the tank to keep it full, that water is heated and the mineral content is again increased. It is for this reason the water tank should be completely drained from time to time. This
would reduce the mineral content in the tank. While the process is relatively simple, you should have a certified water heater handyman show you how to do it the first time.
The water heater figured predominately in
Krystal's renovation plan. She likes nothing more than to take a hot bath after a long day at the beauty parlor and having a properly working water heater is a key element for hot baths. Her water heater is not
insulated marking it as a pre 80s installation. She is hoping to add some value to the home with the renovated heating system. Unfortunately, the cost of renovation is almost equal to the amount she'll recoup in trailer
value. This news is more than she bargained for but with many water heaters out there, its not always a case of what you see is what you get. |
